Eleanor Knight is a fiction writer and librettist. Her first short story ‘Rosa’ was published by Serpent’s Tail and since then her work has been widely anthologised. ‘The Little Library’ appears in the current issue of Riptide Journal. She wrote the libretto for Elfyn Jones’ opera The Trial of Jean Rhys which premiered at the Linbury Theatre, Royal Opera House, in 2012 and was shown at Tete a Tete the same year. Silkmoth, with composer Bushra El Turk, premiered in November 2015 at the 2oth Century Theatre, London. Silkmoth has been nominated for IKWRO’s True Honour Awards. Smaller works include Infidelity Contained, with composer Helen Porter for ROH2’s Exposure Season, a series of ten-minute mini-operas for the BMus course at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance, and Requiem for the Subways, a psychogeographical farewell to the foot tunnels below the Elephant & Castle Roundabout, with composer Danyal Dhondy.
